Project Overview

This is a large-scale, batch-customized quartz countertop project for the bathroom spaces of a well-known US hotel chain. The order quantity is 200 sets. In accordance with the client’s renovation requirements, the countertops are custom-made with integrated circular sink cutouts and pre-drilled fixture holes. The products have been shipped to a US-based B2B general contractor. The lead time for the first container shipment was 18 days.

Standardized Batch Customization Processing

To meet the large-scale installation demands of a hotel chain project, CNC automated production lines are utilized. The process ensures precise cutting and shaping for countertops of a uniform size (1200mm x 550mm x 20mm). Within a single batch, all countertops have identical dimensions, cutout locations, and edge finishes. Machining tolerances are strictly kept within ±0.5mm. This guarantees highly consistent installation results across all hotel bathroom units. It significantly improves on-site installation efficiency and shortens the overall project delivery timeline.

Custom Cutouts and Pre-drilled Fixture Holes

Precise cutouts are made strictly according to the provided American under-mount circular sink model specifications. The circular cutout diameter is 420mm, with a dimensional tolerance of ≤ ±0.5mm. This ensures a seamless, watertight fit between the sink and the countertop. Simultaneously, three Φ35mm holes are pre-drilled for standard fixtures (faucet, soap dispenser, drain). The hole center distances are accurately aligned, and edges are smooth without burrs. This ensures full compatibility with the standardized installation requirements of American bathroom fixtures, achieving perfect integration between the countertop and hardware.

Precision Edge and Chamfer Finishing

All bathroom countertop edges feature an R10 rounded corner finish combined with an 8-step fine polishing process. This completely eliminates sharp edges. It prevents injuries from accidental bumps during use, enhancing bathroom safety. It also gives the edges a smooth, warm tactile quality. This further strengthens the overall high-end feel and meets the detailed specifications of upscale hotels.

Full Process Quality Inspection

Drawing and Cutout Parameter Verification

The project CAD drawings are checked against the final products. Key parameters are verified, including overall dimensions, sink cutout size and location, and fixture hole positions. This ensures 100% of the countertops meet the installation standards for the hotel bathrooms.

Core Dimension Re-measurement

Each countertop’s length, width, and thickness are measured individually. All dimensional errors are controlled within ±1mm, complying with industry standards. This guarantees zero rework is needed during on-site installation.

Surface and Pattern Consistency Check

The surface of each slab is inspected. The goal is to ensure consistent color and pattern, with no scratches, stains, or visible defects. This guarantees a uniform visual appearance across all installed units.

Special Inspection for Cutouts and Edges

A dedicated inspection is performed on the circular sink cutouts and fixture holes. Edges are checked to be free of chips and burrs. The precision of the R10 rounded edges is verified to meet safety and quality standards.

Pre-shipment Packaging and Protection Verification

A professional packaging solution is used. It combines waterproof/damp-proof film with reinforced wooden pallets. Protective PE foam strips are placed between countertops to prevent bumps and scratches during transit. Each pallet carries a clear label with specifications, order number, and batch number. The packaging meets international ocean shipping standards for moisture and impact protection, ensuring the US client receives the goods with zero damage.
