Project Overview

This is a custom quartz countertop project for bathroom and functional areas in a high-end residential property in the United States. The core material is 20mm thick pure white quartz slabs. The countertops are custom-manufactured with non-standard (special-shaped) cutouts and multi-specification, irregular components for integrated surfaces. They are designed to precisely meet the client’s specific renovation requirements for this upscale home. The finished products are delivered to a B2B residential renovation contractor client in the US.

Precise Special-Shaped Cutting and Customized Fabrication

To fulfill the project’s custom requirements for double U-shaped cutouts, circular cutouts, and various irregular components, 5-axis CNC equipment is used for precise cutting:

Double U-shaped Countertop: Designed for a bathroom layout with dual sinks, features symmetrical U-shaped cutouts. The fit tolerance at the corners is ≤0.5mm, ensuring perfect compatibility for the integrated installation of the two sinks.

Circular Cutout Countertop: Created for inset circular sinks/appliances. The circular cutouts are precise, with dimensional error controlled within ±0.5mm.

Multi-specification Irregular Components: These are custom-sized straight-edge and specially shaped filler pieces. They are used to adapt to corners, appliance junctions, and other unique spaces, achieving seamless connection for all countertops throughout the house.

Fine Edge and Chamfer Finishing

All countertop edges feature a 45° chamfer combined with a multi-step fine polishing process. Some functional area countertops also receive rounded edge polishing. This process removes sharp corners, enhancing safety during use. It also gives the edges a smooth, warm feel, strengthening the overall high-end quality and meeting the detailed requirements of upscale American homes.

Custom Cutouts and Hardware Pre-drilling

Precise cutouts are made strictly according to the sink models and hardware installation standards provided by the client.

Double U-shaped Cutouts: Fit the layout of dual American-style sinks. Cutout size error is ≤±0.5mm, ensuring a seamless fit for the sinks.

Circular Cutouts: Made for inset circular sinks/appliances, ensuring precise cutouts with smooth, burr-free edges.

Hardware Pre-drilled Holes: Holes for faucets, drains, and other hardware are pre-drilled simultaneously. The hole positioning is highly accurate, fully compatible with the standardized installation requirements for American bathroom hardware.

Full Process Quality Inspection

Drawing and Irregular Parameter Verification

Project CAD drawings are checked against the actual products. Key parameters are verified, including the overall dimensions of the double U-shaped countertop, the size and center distance of the U-shaped cutouts, the diameter of circular cutouts, and the specifications of irregular components. This ensures 100% of the countertops meet the client’s customized installation requirements.

Core Dimension Re-measurement

Each countertop’s length, width, and thickness are measured individually with a tape measure. All dimensional errors are controlled within ±1mm. This complies with US residential renovation tolerance standards, guaranteeing zero rework during on-site installation.

Surface and Edge Inspection

Each slab surface is inspected to ensure the pure white base color is uniform, with no color variations, scratches, or stains. All edges from special-shaped cutting and cutout edges are also checked to ensure they are free of chips, burrs, and gaps. This ensures a premium visual look and installation precision.

Special Inspection for Cutouts and Irregular Shapes

A dedicated inspection is performed for the double U-shaped, circular, and other special-shaped cutouts. The focus is on edge smoothness and cutout precision, ensuring a tight, leak-proof seal when the sink/appliance is installed. The cutting precision of the irregular components is also verified to ensure a perfect fit with the space and other appliances.

Pre-shipment Packaging and Protection Verification

A professional packaging solution combining waterproof/damp-proof film and reinforced wooden pallets is used. Irregular components are individually protected, and protective strips are placed between countertops to prevent bumps and scratches during transport. Each pallet carries a clear label with specifications, order number, and batch number. The packaging meets international ocean shipping standards for moisture and impact protection, ensuring the US client receives the goods with zero damage.
